Max and Whiskers

My goodness, I haven't blogged in so long!
I haven't had 2 seconds to pop into any of my fave blogs
much less, a chance to actually post something on mine.
I have been BURIED in work!
That's a good thing right?
I have 5 twin quilts in my lineup right now.
That's enough work to keep me busy for the next 8 weeks.
On top of that, I have been taking this amazing online class.

In the meantime, I've got a new pattern in my store!
So exciting for me!
I only have a bajillion patterns swimming around in my brain.
I just don't have the time to realize them into an actual quilt right now.
Just this one will have to do for now.

I sewed this quilt in the Moda Max and Whiskers line.  The graphics are so cute!  Especially since they are paired with such a modern colorway.  And I LOVE the micro doggy bones.  They are the perfect scale for the binding.

This quilt is for sale in my etsy shop right now.
SOLD
The pattern can be found here!

Lucky Me!

Erica from North Carolina just hired me to make 2 twin sized quilts
for her son and daughter's shared room.
This is her inspiration of colors and general style.

Isn't this room so darling?
I have no idea where she found this picture but I love it!
I can't wait to start on this project.
I have been so lucky to work with people who really know what they want!
And Erica is no exception.
The hunt for the perfect fabrics starts today.

Shared Spaces

The hubster has made a turn around for the better in the last few days, YAY!
He was really starting to scare me as I watched him dropping weight like crazy.
Now I'm just trying to shovel food in his direction pretty much 24/7.
In the meantime I have been trying to get caught up with my ever increasing to do list.

Most recently I've been getting requests for
a color pallette that accomodates a boy and girl's shared room.

Enter Nicey Jane!

Is anyone tired of seeing French Roses in my quilts?
It doesn't seem so.
They are always a favorite.

I have a very contemporary and cool boy's quilt planned that is a masculine counterpart to the feminine pattern above.  I plan to use these solids with just a touch of pattern.

The more time I spend with these quilts the more I want to keep them for my boy and girl who just started sharing a room.

Maybe I will, maybe I won't......

A snail's pace

I've not spent much time with my sewing machine in the last 2 weeks.
My poor husband has been deathly ill!

Even a 2 a.m. trip to the Emergency Room and a CT scan couldn't tell us what was wrong with him.
We finally discovered last Saturday that he has 3 large kidney stones.
I have been spending all of my time trying to keep him comfortable.
It's so hard to see the people you love so much be in such terrible pain!
I'll be back once this thing passes, literally.
And I promise I have some great stuff to post!
