Super Sweet!

I did an entire nursery out of this Meadow Sweet collection of fabrics over a year ago.

I still get emails and requests from people who want an identical nursery.

This fabric is pretty hard to come by anymore.
So I sewed up the last of it into this darling quilt. It would be perfect for that little girl who is just as vibrant and energetic as these fabrics.

You can find it for sale in my Etsy Shop.

You can see the nursery here

Cait the Great!

Cait is the darling 12 year old who lives across the street from me.
She comes over every Friday for sewing lessons.
Each time she learns a new block technique.

Cait chose these Fabulous Fifties prints to work with.
She completed all of her blocks so we put them together to make one
fabulous granny chic quilt!

A quilt is more valuable if it is labeled with a name and date so I added this square as a keepsake piece. Since this entire quilt is machine sewn it is bound to endure many many years of use.

I so adore Cait!
As a Christmas surprise I decided to hurry and sandwich and stiple her quilt.

This little hourglass square didn't make the cut for the front. I thought it would be a cute subtle touch to add to the back.

She'll be suprised to see that it's in the quilt afterall :-)

Cait used to come over and just watch me sew day after day. I don't normally teach sewing lessons but how could I resist? She has been such a fun student!
I can't wait to wrap up her finished quilt and give it to her for Christmas!

Zeke

One of Brook's partners added another boy to their brood over the weekend, Zeke.
We made him this quilt. That's right, I said "we".
Brook helped me by cutting out all 64 pieces for this quilt top.
I even had him sew a little :-)
Alot of the time my favorite part of the quilt happens to be the back.
Especially with this quilt.
Just look at those darling carnival tickets! LOVE!

Sometimes it is very hard to keep from getting attatched to my projects.
I reeeaaally love how this quilt turned out!
These retro primary colors mingled with black are just way too much for me!

But it's always a lot easier when it goes to people you love.
Welcome Baby Zeke!

Too much FUN!!!

So my Christmas decor just really felt like it was lacking for some reason.

You know why???

Because I really needed some Christmas Cheer on my couches!

This pillow is by no means a design original to me.

If you know anything about Flickr then you know that there is endless hexie love in the stream!

It took me so super long to stitch all of these narrow lines!

But it was fun and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I'm finishing up a simpler pillow tonight....

A little late to the party...

So after much prodding and even some pushing from my family and friends

I have decided to open an Etsy Store!

To kick things off I am giving away this darling baby boy quilt!

This quilt measures 40" x 40". It is the perfect size for the car seat or stroller. It also

transitions beautifully with the toddler who loves to drag his blankie along.

This is the kind of quilt that will be loved for years!

It is entirely machine stitched for durability. Much of the fabric pieces are Japenese Imports.

The color range is so fresh and fun!
