Grand Finale + a really long wish list!

Well, I survived our busiest summer EVER!
Phew!
We closed out the summer with a trip to Park City
and our annual Wake Up Party.

What started out as a fun way to haul my kids out of bed
before 11:00 a.m. has now turned into a much loved tradition!

I actually tried to skip it this year but my kids busted me, ha ha!

I lay out a ton of old quilts and chairs.
We set up tables in the driveway
and we nosh on yummy food in our pajamas

We didn't have our usual turnout this year.
Many people were squeezing in one last getaway before school starts.

School starts tomorrow and I can just feel peace and quiet on the way!
At least until 3:30.

I have missed my sewing machine so much!
I have an ever increasing list of things that I'm dying to work on.

These 2 are tops on my list!

Scrap Vomit Quilt
LOVE that name!
My scraps are taking over.  This would be so fun!

Giant Star Quilt
I already have the perfect fabric for this one!

I've missed you guys!
I can't wait to see what fall sewing you have in store :-)

  4. That's an awesome tradition!!! Getting up early is the hardest thing...I hate it.

I'm so excited to see how you do those two quilts! I'm absolutely loving the scrap vomit process, it's like therapy and you don't have to think too hard about it! Lovely. I already want to make another one and I'm not even done with my first!

The giant star is so cool. You have such great taste in fabric combinations that you'll come up with something really spectacular!
