With all of the mini trips that we've been doing
I managed to get some hand stitching done.
I did a whole cloth quilt for one of my most favorite ladies!
Her baby is due in a couple of weeks
and we just might be throwing her party.
*I'm not allowed to say "shower"*
I would have loved to have made an heirloom quilt
but her kids all love the simple minky blankets.
I also whipped up some quilted burp cloth's as well.
they're fun and fast.
I'll also be throwing in some of my fave Burt's Bee's baby products.
In other news, I passed by these lovelies the other day
and I just had to bring them home with me!
I have decided to try my hand at indoor plants, yet again!
I've not had the best luck the past zillion times I tried.
But they look so pretty :-) :-) :-)
And lastly, Tackle Football is officially in season!
Both of my oldest boys are playing.
Let the games begin!
Love your stitching Lu. And those burp cloths are so so cute!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the plants. I definitely do not have a green thumb ;o)
I love the fun stitching on the orange burp cloth.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great mom-to-be gift set! I think sometimes blankets are more practical for everyday use than the fancier quilts are.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Good luck with your plants too! I have a degree in horticulture, so I also love having lots of plants around my home. :) The only tip I have for you is to move the one with the white flowers (the Kalanchoe) to a very bright and sunny location for the best results.
Awesome colors! I loved having simple blankets and burp cloths like that, the stitching makes it extra special! Wonderful gift.
ReplyDeleteI am terrible with all types of plants and haven't been brave enough yet to try them in a while. The ones you've look really nice. Good luck with them!
well your friend will love her non-shower party gift. Very cute. ANd football, oh my, how do you watch it without being scared? Who am I kidding, I had two that played ice hockey?
ReplyDeleteThe "party" gifts look great! Good luck with the houseplants! I just brought home an aloe plant after I read they were hard to kill, so I'm hoping...
ReplyDeletei kill all plants that enter my house, except the aloe vera plant that has survived by the skin of its teeth at times. good luck with those pretties, i bet you are a much better plant mother than i am! xoxo
