"Surprise Me"

Those are my favorite words when someone wants me to make them a quilt!
I love having free reign with fabrics and pattern.
Gretchen from Indiana said these precious words to me most recently.
This sneak peek is for you girl....

I have loved making this quilt!
And I'm sad to say that I've used up the last of my Japanese imported stash.
But this quilt was so worth it.
Gretchen, I hope you love it!

  2. Are you kidding me?! I can't even count all the ways that I LOVE it! The elephant fabric is so incredibly perfect for Sheldon since he is the size of a small elephant. ;-)

I am so glad that I said "surprise me" because I can assure you I would have never been able to articulate to you something that cute to make.

I can't wait to get it and take a picture of him with it. This made my morning! Thank you Thank you Thank you! ~gretch
PS. Why would I ever need to learn how to quilt when I have YOU and the rising star, my dear friend Jamie?!

  7. I love this so much. I am getting ready to make a quilt very similar to this with similar fabrics actually - some different some the same. What size did you make your squares? I think the proportion seems perfect!
